Everyone claims to be the best. I also tried many of these softwares that are built for both windows and linux operating system. Here I am sharing a list of softwares which comes to best to me:

1.      Nmap:  it is the best hacking tool ever made. It has two best qualities first it is easy to use and second it has a wide range of usabilities. It provides a wide range of features like  port scanning, fingureprinting, os detection, ping, etc.

2.      SuperScan:  SuperScan is a TCP port scanner, pinger, resolver. If anybody needs the alternative of Nmap, it will be the best option for it. It provides a cool scanning experience with lot of information.

3.      Cain and Abel:  this software is my favorite as it can be used for cracking any kind of password. It is a password recovery tool for Microsoft Operating Systems.

4.      John The Riper: This software is also used for password cracking, it is the fastest cracking tool. It is available for many operationg  systems.

5.      FsCrack: This software is a front end of John the Riper that provides a graphical user interface for accessing most softwares. The working is similar to JTR.

6.      Nessus Security Scanner: this tool has been best tool for both network administrators and  hackers because of its wide implementations. It is the world leader in active scanners. Nessus can be distributed throughout an entire enterprise.

7.      Wireshark: Wireshark is a GTK+ based network protocol analyzer. It interactively browse the contents of network frames. It works great on both windows and linux. Easy to use and can reconstruct TCP/IP streams.
